A young company with heaps of technical knowledge and practical experience, Performance Sailboat Repairs are state-of-the-art experts in GRP, polyethylene and carbon fibre.
Performance Sailboat Repairs is led by James Gardner and is based on the south coast in Funtington, between Chichester and Portsmouth, close to the junction of the A3(M), M27 and A27. PSB specialise in repairing, refurbishing and preparing sailing dinghies and small keelboats from Oppies to RS Elites. As a keen sailor, James’s career started whilst still at school, building wooden boats with his dad in his spare time. James went on to Portsmouth University to study Marine Sports Technology.
In 2006, following university, James joined RS Sailing in the workshop – building, fitting-out and repairing the full range of RS dinghies from Teras to Elites. At RS Sailing, James managed the workshop and was heavily involved in the development of many new models across the range. James is often to be found at his home club, Hayling Island SC, sailing an RS400 or B14 with his wife Anne.
James established PSB Repairs in 2014 and has gone from strength to strength, steadily building a reputation for high quality work and excellent customer service. James’s technical knowledge is second to none and, combined with his practical experience in the workshop as well as a lifetime of sailing performance dinghies, there is no-one better than PSB to repair, refurbish or race prepare your boat.
